Destiny 2 The Final Shape

by Simon LaroccaMarch 26, 2024

The revolution that Destiny brought to the varied and somewhat inflated landscape of multiplayer shooters had a strong resonance in gaming communities, those made up of gamers but also and above all among the ranks of video game developers: many are the titles released afterward that owe a great deal, indeed a very great deal, to Bungie's gem, and on this I think we all agree.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape, the final content belonging to the Light and Darkness saga, is also scheduled for PlayStation 5 on June 4, 2024 and constitutes, in the realm of DLCs that have now for years been hugely popular as indispensable content for any title of a certain caliber, a milestone that will be remembered for a long time.
The story of Destiny 2 is not very recent, if we speak in terms of timing based on video game releases: 2017 by those standards is prehistory, or very nearly so. A necessary premise to make it clear how The Final Shape, the game’s eighth internal chapter which will in fact close the saga that began seven years ago, is highly anticipated by everyone, and not only because all the knots will come to a head, as the saying goes.
First-person shooter of its kind, Destiny 2 is above all a multiplayer game, so beyond the main quest that will see us chasing the final villain, we will find new maps in which to test ourselves with friends and strangers within detailed and frantic arenas. When we say Bungie, we mean Halo; it cannot be otherwise, and the echoes of the greatest FPS ever released in the last twenty-four years (I know it, and you know it) have been felt in Destiny from the very beginning: the best lessons are those passed down from game to game, and the title in question, fortunately, is no exception.
Ma there will still be the Deathmatch? Considering that it has always been the mode most appreciated by players, old and new, the answer can only be one: yes, absolutely yes! It seems that the integration of new weapons and scenarios can expand even further the range of arenas available for all those who will want to frag each other (is that still what you say?) with no skills and no backing.

It has been announced that there will be a new freely explorable world, with the evocative name “The Pale Heart” if we want to translate it almost literally, in which we will venture to discover the last, fundamental secrets needed to unravel the mystery. It promises to be very fascinating since, as the developers say, “the deeds of the past will reverberate” and so we can only have our mouths watering for references to previous adventures which, I’d bet my final fantasy fan-memory gil, will be scattered throughout all the new game areas.
Arms and armor implemented in The Final Shape will, then, certainly make a difference and curiosity, so to speak hype, is skyrocketing.
The Final Shape will not be the last game dedicated to the saga anyway, because further episodes are already planned that will begin new storylines and therefore the fate of Destiny, excuse the pun, is not only not nebulous but looks rosy and full of possibilities.
The final chapter that will lead you to forge new destinies is about to arrive: are you ready?
