The legend of Zelda Collector's Edition, the definitive legendary edition!

This is not our first foray into the legends of Princess Zelda and the countless incarnations of Link and Ganondorf, glorious archetypes of the figure of the Hero and his antithesis by definition, Evil that advances inexorably in the name of conquest and corruption. It is not the first time, but it is certainly one of the most exciting for the person writing these words: The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition is one of the most important video game wonders of the twenty-first century and definitively consecrated Miyamoto’s saga.

Ma Nintendo, as is well known, always seems to have a rupee up its sleeve when it comes to attracting attention to itself and so, to support the upcoming launch of the new Zelda iteration soon to be released, that Wind Waker destined to win over the hearts of Link fans and company, it produced a Collector’s Edition of the franchise that brought together the cornerstones of the saga, namely the indispensable chapters for anyone who wanted to enter the world of Zelda for the first time, and that at the same time would satisfy the most die-hard fans, those who eat Triforce-flavored cookies for breakfast, to be clear.

Ma with a substantial difference, a move that many criticized and that in fact even today is still a matter of fierce debate between those who support the genius of an operation like this and those who instead hated its intrinsic commercial slap: this collector’s edition was in fact not sold in stores as per tradition, but included in a bundle dedicated to Mario Kart Double Dash, at that time the flagship multiplayer game to promote at all costs, and later obtainable if you were enrolled in Club Nintendo, a true fan in short!

All within the iconic, and it’s fair to call it that, characteristic GameCube mini DVD, we can find, or rediscover, the four games in question: it begins with the first unforgettable 1986 installment originally released for the NES, then continues with the direct sequel The Adventure of Link and right after that you need to catch your breath, I recommend it, in front of the extraordinary beauty of Ocarina of Time, probably one of the most successful games ever in both public and critical acclaim. It closes in grandeur with Majora’s Mask, released for Nintendo 64 only a few years earlier, in 2000, one of the most cryptic and at the same time stimulating titles in the series, in my opinion.

Prima I mentioned the issue of the imminent launch of Wind Waker: exclusively, the chance was given to play the official demo of the game, a tasty preview, even if brief, of the masterpiece that would take off shortly afterward, even deserving a bundle created specifically for it, including the title and a themed package for the Grande N-branded console!

Citing one of Zelda's most beautiful phrases, which introduces the player into the imaginative world with fairy-tale echoes of Miyamoto's saga, every game has a story, but only one is a legend. 

Recovering this “fans only” disc will be your main quest, from today until the next showdown with Ganon. Too bad it has already been sold; here on The Games Market there were two Mint copies... But they’ll be back... Soon.
