Heroes of Time: Meet Flavio Quattrone

Hello! My name is Flavio and I have been a video game enthusiast since I was a child. My passion for Resident Evil was born thanks to a childhood friend of mine: the first time I saw him playing at his house, I was completely fascinated by it. The atmosphere, the tension, and that different way of telling a story in a game struck me right away. From that moment on, I started following the series and over time it became my favorite.

Today I especially like horror games and retrogaming. Collecting is a way to preserve those memories and continue to live a passion that has accompanied me for many years. Every game I keep in my collection has a special meaning and reminds me of a different moment in my life.

2.⁠ ⁠To collect means maintaining a deep connection with our past. What are your all-time favorite titles? Tell us about your collection.

My collection is mainly dedicated to Resident Evil, because it is the series I am most attached to. The chapters I hold dearest are Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Code: Veronica. In addition to these, I also collect other horror games and retro titles that I consider classics.

I don’t collect to simply have a lot of games, but because each piece has a story. When I look at my titles, I relive many memories tied to this passion, and that is what makes my collection special.

3.⁠ ⁠By grading your title, you made an important choice. How did you become acquainted with the world of grading?

I learned about grading by following other collectors and reading more and more about the world of retro gaming. At first I was curious, then I understood how important it was to protect the finest pieces in a collection. This was my first experience and I have to say I was really curious to see the final result.

4.⁠ ⁠What were the main reasons you wanted to grade the title you brought us?

I decided to grade my Resident Evil for Sega Saturn because it is one of the items I care about most. Since it is still sealed, I wanted to preserve it in the best possible way and protect it over time. For me, it is not only a rare game, but also an important part of my passion for Resident Evil. Grading seemed to me the best way to enhance it and preserve it as it deserves.

5.⁠ ⁠When the title was finally returned to you, graded, how did you feel?

It was a beautiful feeling. When I saw it in the case with the assigned grade, I felt great satisfaction. Knowing that one of the most important games in my collection is now protected really made me happy. I believe that anyone who is passionate about collecting can understand that feeling.

6.⁠ ⁠To conclude, which aspects of our service did you like the most?

What I appreciated most was the professionalism and care with which the entire process was handled. I always had the feeling that I was entrusting my game to people who share the same passion. The final result also impressed me greatly, and seeing my Resident Evil for Sega Saturn finally graded was very satisfying. Certainly, if in the future I decide to have other games from my collection graded, I will trust you again.
