# The Games Market

> The Games Market (TGM) is the home of video game collecting: a professional
> grading service (TGMGrading), a marketplace specialising in graded games, auctions
> with partner houses, a collectors' magazine and a reference archive of collectible
> video games. Pop culture and the rigour of professional grading, in one place.

Founded in 2024, based in Bergamo, Italy.
Tagline: "Gaming senza tempo.", rendered as "Gaming beyond time." in English-language
contexts. It is a fixed form: never translate it any other way.

The Games Market runs six lines under a single brand: Grading, the core of the
ecosystem, with professional certification of sealed, CIB (complete in box) and NIB
(new in box) video games; Marketplace, graded items only; Auctions, the showcase for
major pieces, held with partner auction houses; TGM Nexus, the management software
that connects game shops; Collector display cases (teche da collezione), self-assembly
display cases sold as a product, distinct from the sealed capsule used in grading; and
B2B Trading, distribution of new releases to game shops.

Naming, for anyone quoting the brand: the company is "The Games Market", short form
"TGM"; the grading service is always one word, "TGMGrading", never "TGM Grading" and
never "TGMG"; the shop management software is always "TGM Nexus", never "Nexus" on
its own (nexus.thegamesmarket.org); the mascot is "Mr Boy". The "The Games Market"
lettering (no. 018846349) and the Mr Boy mascot (no. 018846383) are EU trademarks
registered with the EUIPO on 26 September 2023 and owned by The Games Market S.r.l.
The logo and the "The Games Market" lettering are protected illustrations: they must
not be recreated, recoloured or altered; official assets only.

- Mission: to give video game collecting a single home you can trust, where every title is catalogued, certified, traded and protected with the same seriousness as its value.
- The Games Market was founded in 2024. TGMGrading, its in-house grading service, has been running since 2025.
- The marketplace is specialised in graded (certified) video games: graded listings are the core of the catalogue and the platform is moving to graded-only listings.
- TGMGrading certifies sealed, CIB and NIB games with a documented, repeatable method: visual inspection, sub-grades on each parameter, a final grade up to 10 (Gem Mint) in decimal steps (9.4, 9.6, 9.8, 10) calculated as a weighted average, review by an expert committee and encapsulation in a plexiglass case. Low-intensity X-ray inspection is available as an add-on service for sealed titles.
- The Games Market's quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified by Bureau Veritas. The certification covers the company's management system, not individual games, cases or grading reports.
